SHIMANO SAHARA FK

Unavailable

Shimano

The Shimano Sahara FK is a mid-range spinning reel designed to deliver an excellent combination of smoothness, power, precision and reliability. Featuring proven Shimano technologies and an outstanding price-to-performance ratio, it is an ideal choice for anglers looking for a versatile and dependable reel for a wide range of fishing techniques. The Sahara FK is particularly well suited to freshwater fishing, targeting species such as pike, perch, trout, chub and barbel. Its versatility makes it suitable for lure fishing, finesse techniques, float fishing and feeder fishing, both in rivers and still waters. It can also be used for light inshore saltwater fishing. At the core of the Sahara FK is the HAGANE Gear, produced using Shimano's cold-forging process. This technology provides strength and precision while helping maintain smooth rotation even under increased load. The X-SHIP system optimizes gear support and transmission efficiency, allowing power to be transferred effectively from the handle to the rotor. This provides precise and controlled winding, particularly useful when fighting powerful fish or retrieving lures that create increased resistance. InfinityDrive reduces internal rotational friction, helping maintain a light and responsive retrieve under load. This is especially useful when fishing in strong current or using high-resistance lures. With SilentDrive, Shimano reduces unwanted play and vibration throughout the mechanism. The result is a quieter and more precise retrieve, giving anglers greater control over lure movement and improved feedback during the fight. The G-Free Body improves the overall balance of the rod and reel by moving the center of gravity closer to the rod. This helps reduce fatigue during long sessions and makes the Sahara FK particularly comfortable for techniques involving frequent casting and retrieving. The AR-C Spool is designed to improve line release during casting, helping provide good distance and accuracy. Line management is further enhanced by the Anti-Twist Fin, which helps guide slack line correctly and reduces the risk of tangles. Combining these technologies, the Shimano Sahara FK is an excellent choice for anglers looking for a versatile and reliable spinning reel, capable of handling everything from finesse presentations to larger lures and feeder applications. Ideal for: lure and spinning fishing; finesse techniques with lightweight lures; perch, trout, chub, barbel and pike fishing; river, stream and lake fishing; float fishing; feeder fishing; light inshore saltwater use.

DAIWA 26 WILDERNESS HUCHO THE KING

Daiwa

The Hucho is one of Europe's most fascinating and powerful freshwater predators. Targeting this fish demands tackle capable of handling long casts, strong currents and intense fights, often in cold and demanding conditions. The Daiwa 26 Wilderness Hucho The King was developed specifically for this style of fishing, with the collaboration of Alessandro Galletti from Hucho The King, a specialist in the discipline. The design focuses on a precise balance: enough strength to control a large Hucho in powerful current, while remaining light and comfortable enough for long days spent moving along the river. A blank designed for Hucho fishing The blank combines HVF Nanoplus carbon with X45X Full Shield technology. This construction helps keep weight under control while providing structural stability and resistance to twisting. These characteristics are particularly important when targeting Hucho. The rod must not only cast relatively demanding lures, but also maintain control throughout the retrieve and provide the power required when a large fish uses the current to its advantage. The result is a blank designed to combine lightness, responsiveness and substantial power reserves, without becoming unnecessarily heavy during extended fishing sessions. Progressive action with substantial power The progressive action is a key part of the rod's design. Under load, the blank progressively engages, providing sensitivity and lure control while building power as the fight becomes more demanding. This makes it possible to work a variety of lures naturally, from diving minnows to soft baits, while maintaining accuracy during casting and control throughout the retrieve. The lower section of the blank provides a strong power reserve, allowing the angler to control large Hucho and manage the fish when fighting in current, around rocks and other obstacles. 9 feet for versatility The 9-foot length provides a balance between casting distance, lure control and overall handling. A longer rod can be advantageous for covering water and managing line, but it must still remain practical when moving along riverbanks and controlling a fish during the fight. The Wilderness Hucho The King was developed with this combination of requirements in mind. Since regulations in Hucho waters may limit anglers to one rod, versatility becomes particularly important. The rod therefore needs to adapt to different fishing situations without requiring compromises. Fuji guides for cold-weather fishing The original Fuji guide system also takes into account one of the most challenging aspects of winter Hucho fishing: sub-zero temperatures. The Fuji SiC K-guide tip guide and Fuji Alconite K-guides feature stainless steel frames and are designed to help minimize ice accumulation during cold-weather sessions, while maintaining the balance and responsiveness of the blank. EVA grip and Fuji reel seat The EVA handle provides a secure and comfortable grip even when conditions are difficult, including when fishing with wet hands or wearing gloves. The rod is completed by a Fuji DPS reel seat with a safety locking nut, keeping the reel firmly secured during demanding fights. The Wilderness Hucho The King is therefore built around the practical requirements of specialized Hucho fishing: repeated casting, different lure types, freezing temperatures, strong current and powerful freshwater predators. DAIWA 26 TATULA BF TW

Unavailable

Daiwa

Daiwa 26 Tatula BF TW is a baitcasting reel specifically developed for Bait Finesse, where the ability to cast lightweight lures accurately and maintain precise control is essential. Its dedicated spool configuration, T-WING SYSTEM (TWS) and magnetic braking system make it particularly well suited to lures that normally require specialized tackle. Micro jigs, small soft baits, no-sinker rigs and compact hard baits can all be handled with a combination of lightness, accuracy and control. 30 mm BF Spool At the heart of the Bait Finesse setup is the dedicated 30 mm Super Duralumin BF spool, specifically designed for this Tatula configuration. A spool designed for lightweight lures helps reduce rotational inertia, making it easier to start the spool spinning when casting relatively light presentations. This makes the reel particularly suitable for techniques where the spool needs to respond quickly while maintaining a controlled casting trajectory. TWS: smoother line release The T-WING SYSTEM (TWS) improves line management during the cast. As the spool rotates and releases line, the wide T-Wing opening reduces contact and friction compared with a conventional level wind. Combined with the 30 mm BF spool, this allows lightweight lures to make better use of the available casting energy, promoting smooth casts, low trajectories and accurate lure placement. This combination is especially useful for Bait Finesse anglers who need to place small lures accurately around cover, structure and specific areas along the bank. Braking System developed with K.T.F. The braking system of the 26 Tatula BF TW was developed in cooperation with K.T.F. (Katsuhiko Sawamura), with an emphasis on straightforward and predictable spool control. Once the magnetic brake has been correctly adjusted, the system is designed to accommodate different casting techniques without requiring constant readjustment. This makes it easier to maintain consistent spool behaviour when changing lure types or adapting to different casting conditions. AIRBREAK SYSTEM, SV BOOST and ZERO ADJUSTER The spool-control system incorporates several Daiwa technologies: AIRBREAK SYSTEM, for spool control throughout the casting cycle; SV BOOST, designed to optimize braking behaviour during different stages of the cast; ZERO ADJUSTER, for adjusting the spool's axial play. Together, these systems allow the angler to fine-tune the reel according to lure weight and casting style. Hyperdrive Design The HYPERDRIVE DESIGN combines several technologies focused on smoothness, rigidity and mechanical durability. The HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR is designed to provide precise and smooth power transmission, while the HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH contributes to a positive and consistent spool-release mechanism. The HYPER ARMED HOUSING FULL METAL, with an aluminium frame and gear-side side plate, provides a rigid platform for the internal mechanics. This becomes particularly valuable when a compact Bait Finesse reel encounters a fish considerably more powerful than its typical target species. Drag Clicker The Drag Clicker provides audible feedback when line is pulled from the spool under drag pressure. This can be especially useful when fishing with thin lines, as the sound immediately indicates that the drag is working without requiring constant visual attention to the spool. It is also an interesting feature when the Tatula BF TW is used to target larger fish with relatively light tackle. UTD Drag The Ultimate Tournament Drag (UTD) provides smooth and progressive drag pressure throughout the fight. For Bait Finesse applications, this is particularly important because lightweight tackle requires controlled drag performance when a fish suddenly makes a powerful run. Swept Handle The aluminium SWEPT HANDLE provides a secure grip and direct control of the retrieve. Its configuration is designed to offer precise handling during technical lure presentations while also providing the leverage required when additional pressure is needed during a fight.
