The AIRDRIVE DESIGN, combined with a ZAION V body and rotor, reduces weight and rotational inertia, making the reel particularly responsive when starting or changing retrieve speed. This configuration is especially well suited to anglers using spoons, minnows and other lightweight lures for trout fishing in managed lakes.
A reel designed around sensitivity
The AIRDRIVE rotor made from ZAION V is one of the key features of the IPRIMI. Its low weight reduces the inertia required to start and adjust the rotation.
On the water, this translates into a more direct feel when controlling retrieve speed. The angler can follow the action of the spoon more precisely, detect changes in its movement and react quickly even to very subtle bites.
The ZAION V body completes the lightweight construction while providing the rigidity required for precise reel operation.
I-Type Finesse Knob
On a reel designed for Area Trout, control of the handle is just as important as the internal mechanics.
The new I-Type Finesse Knob, developed from the solution used on Daiwa PRESSO models, features a slim and lightweight shape that allows precise control of the retrieve.
Its high-grip surface provides a secure hold, while the two ball bearings inside the knob ensure smooth and consistent rotation. This becomes particularly useful during long sessions involving slow, steady retrieves.
Twist Buster 3 and thin lines
Thin-diameter lines are frequently used in Area Trout fishing, making effective line management particularly important.
The Twist Buster 3, combined with the additional bearing on the line roller, helps reduce line twist during retrieval. This contributes to more orderly line handling and greater consistency during repeated casts.
The aim is not simply to reduce twisting, but to maintain predictable system performance when fishing with fine-diameter lines.
ATD TYPE-L drag for Area Trout
The ATD TYPE-L drag is designed to provide an immediate and progressive response, an important characteristic when fishing with light lines and delicate leaders.
During the fight, the drag needs to follow the trout's runs without creating sudden increases in tension. The progressive response of the ATD TYPE-L helps manage sudden bursts while reducing the risk of breaking light tackle.
One-piece aluminium handle
The one-piece aluminium handle completes the mechanical setup of the 25 IPRIMI LT2000.
Its rigid construction contributes to a direct and connected feel during the retrieve, which is particularly noticeable when working lightweight lures and making frequent changes in retrieve speed.
Two versions for different techniques
The range includes two IPRIMI LT 2000 versions with different retrieve ratios, allowing anglers to choose the configuration that best suits their preferred fishing style.
DAIWA 25 IPRIMI LT 2000S-P
The IPRIMI LT 2000S-P is the most versatile version for Area Trout fishing.
Its slower retrieve makes it easier to control spoons, allowing the angler to maintain a steady and precise retrieve speed. It is well suited to most situations where consistent lure presentation is more important than fast line recovery.
DAIWA 25 IPRIMI LT 2000S-XH
The IPRIMI LT2000S-XH is the faster version of the range.
It is designed for situations where fast line recovery or frequent changes in retrieve speed are required, such as fishing with minnows and metal vibrations, or techniques involving repeated accelerations and pauses.
The choice between the P and XH versions therefore mainly depends on the lures being used and the retrieve style preferred by the angler.
