A high-end reel designed for the Trout Area. Shimano Cardiff XR has a classic look with minimal weight, perfectly matches and balances finesse trout rods and benefits from a special drag design for using the latest thin diameter lines. Are you looking for a specialist reel that can balance your lightweight trout area rods and offer accuracy and sensitivity in equal measure? The Cardiff XR might be just what you're looking for. Visually different from other Shimano spinning reels, thanks to the round cork handle and deep green pearlescent finish, this is one reel that stands out. With a light spin on start up, offering brilliant fingertip control of the lure, light line specialists will appreciate the precision of the ultra fine front drag, calibrated for the thinnest lines. As you'd expect from a high-end SHIMANO reel designed for finesse techniques, the Cardiff XR features a wide selection of cutting-edge technologies. The lightweight CI4+ body features the G-FREE design for optimal balance when using ultralight rods. Inside, HAGANE Gear, X-SHIP, Micro Module II and Silent Drive combine to produce smooth and efficient rotation, further enhanced by the latest low-inertia MGL rotor for smooth rotation. ultra light. This is a major advantage when working small lures with precision. The Cardiff XR features a special clutch with felt discs which inspires confidence in fish fighting which often requires the use of ultra fine lines.
