SHIMANO SOCORRO SW

Shimano

The Shimano Soare BB is an ultra-light spinning reel developed for finesse techniques and Light Rock Fishing, ideal for anglers using micro lures, thin braided lines and light tackle setups. Its design is rooted in the Japanese JDM fishing philosophy, where every component is engineered to deliver maximum control and precision in highly technical fishing situations.

The compact CI4+ construction reduces overall weight while creating an excellent balance with Light Rock Fishing rods and modern ultra-light setups. The result is a lightweight, responsive and highly sensitive combination, perfectly suited to detecting delicate bites and controlling small lures with precision.

The Soare BB is available in the compact 500 size, as well as in a range of 2000 models featuring Power Gear and High Gear ratios. This allows anglers to select the reel configuration that best matches their preferred fishing style, from a more powerful and controlled retrieve to techniques requiring increased winding speed.

Mechanical performance is supported by a selection of Shimano's advanced technologies. HAGANE Gear, Micromodule II, X-SHIP and INFINITYXROSS provide efficient power transmission and highly refined gearing, while SilentDrive and InfinityDrive contribute to an exceptionally smooth, quiet and precise rotation. This combination enhances sensitivity during the retrieve and improves control over the lure.

The shallow spool is optimised for thin-diameter lines, reducing unnecessary line capacity and improving overall line management. The Long Stroke Spool and AR-C spool design promote efficient line release, helping maximise casting distance even when using micro jigs, small soft baits and other ultra-light lures.

Line control is further enhanced by the One-Piece Bail and Anti-Twist Fin, helping maintain consistent line lay while reducing line-twist issues. For demanding fishing environments, X-Protect provides additional protection against water ingress, while the High Response Drag delivers fast and precise drag response when fighting fish on light-diameter lines.

Specialised yet versatile, the Shimano Soare BB is an excellent choice for Light Rock Fishing, street fishing, drop shot and trout area. A reel engineered for anglers who demand lightness, sensitivity and smooth performance, combining advanced Shimano technology with a highly competitive position in its price category.

The Vanquish FA Competition Edition represents the ultimate evolution of Shimano’s MAGNUMLITE finesse concept. Directly derived from the legendary Vanquish FC, it has been further refined to meet the demands of technical and competitive spinning specialists.

Every component is engineered to deliver maximum sensitivity, instant response, and outstanding mechanical efficiency, even when fishing with ultra-light lures and ultra-thin braided lines. The result is a reel that transmits every subtle vibration directly to the angler’s hand.

The magnesium body provides exceptional rigidity at minimal weight, while the Ci4+ rotor drastically reduces start-up inertia for enhanced control and responsiveness. INFINITYLOOP technology ensures optimal line lay, minimizing friction and delivering longer, more consistent casts.

Reinforced INFINITYXROSS gears improve durability and power transfer, while INFINITYDRIVE maintains smooth rotation even under load. X-PROTECT prevents water and debris ingress without affecting rotational smoothness or sensitivity.

The ANTI-TWIST fin significantly improves fine braid management, reducing slack and line twist. Available in C2000, C2500 and 2500 sizes, with shallow spools optimized for PE 0.6–1.0 braids, it is the ideal reel for finesse applications targeting perch, trout and zander.

The new Shimano Soare BB A has significantly evolved compared to the previous version. Adopting a high-response resistor, you can set more or less aggressive drag settings. "Stick" means, for example, when using Estelle's PE 0.2 and 0.3 fine wires. The high response drag of the new Soare BB A starts flowing smoothly as soon as load is applied, so even when slightly taut, it prevents line breakage when using a fine line. It's easy to respond to sudden thrusts when hooking a large horse mackerel, and you can fight advantageously around obstacles. This performance is amazing in this price range! I thought, but the basic performance of the new Soare BB A has evolved considerably. The C2000SS is 15 grams lighter thanks to a number of technologies installed in high-end models such as Micro Module Gear II and X Protect.
