The Shimano Bassterra XT+A Sea Bass Spin is designed for anglers demanding sensitivity, precision and versatility when targeting sea bass. Its lightweight blank and medium-fast action provide a fast, controlled response, combining casting performance, accurate lure control and enough power to handle demanding fights in coastal environments.
The High Modulus Carbon construction is reinforced with Diaflash technology, designed to improve torsional resistance and increase blank efficiency under load. The lower section provides the power required to load the rod effectively during the cast and achieve long distances, while also offering a strong power reserve when fish attempt to reach rocks, structures or underwater cover.
The medium-fast upper section provides a precise response and high sensitivity. The tip works effectively with a wide range of lures, allowing anglers to impart subtle, controlled movements to soft baits or work hard baits with more aggressive retrieves. This combination of sensitivity and responsiveness helps maintain constant contact with the lure, an essential feature when precise lure presentation is required.
With configurations ranging from light to medium-heavy, the series covers a broad range of saltwater spinning techniques. Anglers can switch from small finesse lures to larger crankbaits and metal jigs, selecting the model that best matches the technique, lure weight and fishing conditions.
Premium components complete a design engineered for reliable, long-term use. Fuji K-Type stainless-steel guides with Fazlite inserts provide excellent line management and smooth flow with both braided line and monofilament. The Fuji VSS reel seat provides a secure reel connection, while the split EVA handle delivers comfort and a confident grip during repeated casting and prolonged fights.
With its lightweight, well-balanced and performance-focused design, the Shimano Bassterra XT+A Sea Bass Spin is engineered for modern coastal sea bass fishing while offering the versatility to target a wide range of other species and saltwater spinning applications.
