GEOFF ANDERSON URUS BASIS BLACK

Geoff Anderson

Geoff Anderson Urus Basis Light Green are waterproof and breathable fishing trousers designed to keep you comfortable and protected whether fishing from a boat or from the shore. Developed through decades of experience in technical fishing clothing, they offer durability and reliability in demanding conditions and are also suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities.

The Urus name is inspired by the aurochs, the ancient wild cattle associated with strength and resilience. The Basis version follows this philosophy with a simple, functional design. It uses the same high-performance fabric and accessories as the more advanced Urus trousers, while removing non-essential features. This helps reduce weight, improve freedom of movement and maintain long-term durability.

The waterproof construction features taped seams and a long-lasting DWR water-repellent finish. The breathable fabric and improved inner lining help manage moisture and perspiration, contributing to comfort during use.

The fit is designed with anglers' needs in mind. An elasticated waist, removable elastic braces and a raised back provide a secure and comfortable fit. Two angled pockets, a YKK®-zipped thigh pocket and dedicated tool attachments, including a Hypalon holder, offer practical storage for essential accessories.

The inner legs are reinforced to improve durability in areas subject to greater wear. The adjustable leg openings, featuring Velcro® and a zip, allow the fit to be adapted as needed.

The Geoff Anderson Urus Basis Light Green are technical fishing trousers for anglers looking for waterproof protection, breathability and durability in a practical, streamlined design.

Technical specifications

Waterproof and breathable fishing trousers

Lightweight and durable fabric

Guaranteed waterproof construction

Long-lasting DWR water-repellent finish

Taped seams

Improved inner lining structure for enhanced breathability

Materials designed to help manage perspiration

Front D-ring

Two angled pockets

Thigh pocket with YKK® zip

External thigh tool pocket

Hypalon tool holder on the thigh

Elasticated waist

Removable elastic braces

Raised back

Double-button safety fastening

Smooth lining and mesh lining

Adjustable leg openings with Velcro® and zip

Reinforced inner legs

Durable pocket lining

Designed in Denmark

Geoff Anderson

Geoff Anderson Urus Light Black trousers are lightweight, waterproof and breathable technical trousers designed to provide reliable weather protection without unnecessary bulk. Developed for demanding outdoor activities, they combine durability, comfort and freedom of movement.

They are made from Taslan polyamide fabric, a material Geoff Anderson has been using for over 20 years, and feature the brand's own System Fabric membrane. This construction provides 100% waterproof protection with a hydrostatic head rating above 10,000 mm (HSW), while maintaining excellent breathability.

Urus Light is the lightest and most breathable trouser in the brand's collection, while offering the same level of waterproofness as heavier models. Weight has been reduced by using fewer pockets and less protection in non-critical areas, without compromising durability or protection where it matters most.

The lightweight outer fabric makes these trousers suitable for warmer days. Combined with appropriate base and mid-layers, they can also be worn throughout the year.

Features include a more breathable lining, an elasticated waist with integrated belt and a raised, soft rear lumbar protection panel. Two pockets are fitted with YKK® AquaGuard® zips, while the front fastening features a double-button fly. Full-length side zips on both legs make the trousers easier to put on and take off, including when wearing boots.

The inner leg and lower leg sections are reinforced to improve resistance in areas exposed to greater wear.

Technical specifications

Brand: Geoff Anderson

Model: Urus Light

Colour: Black

Type: Waterproof and breathable technical trousers

Outer fabric: Taslan polyamide

Membrane: System Fabric

Waterproof rating: 100%, HSW above 10,000 mm

Breathability: High

Lining: More breathable lining

Waist: Elasticated with integrated belt

Rear protection: Raised, soft lumbar panel

Pockets: 2 with YKK® AquaGuard® zips

Zips: YKK® AquaGuard®

Front fastening: Double-button fly

Side zips: Full-length leg zips

Reinforcements: Inner leg and lower leg sections

Use: Outdoor activities and fishing in varied weather conditions
