The Daiwa 26 Tournament Basia 45 SCW QD represents the latest evolution of Daiwa's flagship Big Pit reel technology, developed for modern long-range carp fishing. Designed and manufactured in Japan, it combines exceptional casting performance, ultra-fast retrieval, and long-term reliability for anglers who demand the very best.
At the heart of the reel is the newly developed 45 mm Ultra Big Pit spool, featuring a 10% larger diameter than the previous generation and an extremely shallow 2-degree taper. This design improves line release, enhances line management, and contributes to greater casting efficiency at extreme distances.
One of the standout features of the new Basia is its impressive retrieval rate of 115 cm per handle turn. This allows anglers to recover rigs quickly and efficiently, making it particularly valuable when fishing at long range or retrieving heavy setups.
To complement the larger spool, Daiwa developed the biggest rotor ever fitted to a Basia Big Pit reel. Constructed from lightweight Zaion material and equipped with the advanced Airdrive Rotor system, it delivers exceptional rotational smoothness, improved balance, and reduced start-up inertia while keeping the reel weight at only 535 grams.
