Daiwa 26 Spitfire Lake Trout renews one of Daiwa's series designed for anglers who want to approach lake trout fishing with an accessible rod developed according to design principles derived from Daiwa's more advanced ranges.
The key point of the new Spitfire is precisely this: although it is designed as an entry-level series, careful attention has been paid to actions, bending curves, balance and strength. It is therefore not simply a basic rod, but a series developed to provide consistent performance across the different techniques used in lake trout fishing.
Seven models for lake trout fishing
The 26 Spitfire range includes seven models, with different configurations designed to cover the main lake trout techniques.
The lighter versions are intended for piombino, vetrino and catenella fishing, where bait control and sensitivity during the retrieve are particularly important.
At the other end of the range are the more powerful models, designed for long-distance bombarda fishing. This allows anglers to select the rod according to their preferred technique rather than relying on a single setup.
Actions and bending curves
One of the most interesting aspects of the new Spitfire is the work carried out on its actions and bending curves. The aim is to provide rods with progressive and controllable behaviour throughout the different stages of fishing.
The balance also contributes to comfortable rod handling during sessions involving repeated casting and retrieving, which are typical of lake trout fishing.

With the opening of the file, we will proceed with the collection of the goods at your address and reimbursement of the expenses incurred or, at your request, with a new shipment of the goods, all at our expense.
