Eging requires a rod that can translate every movement of the angler into a precise response from the egi, while still providing enough sensitivity to understand what is happening below the surface.
The new Daiwa 26 Emeraldas MX has been developed around this balance. Its HVF Nanoplus blank, X45 technology and new Carbon Monocoque Rear Grip work together to create a responsive, lightweight and highly communicative Eging rod.
The series is suitable both for anglers approaching Eging with a high-level setup and for experienced fishermen looking for greater precision throughout the different stages of the presentation.
HVF Nanoplus and X45
The blank is built using HVF Nanoplus carbon, a Daiwa technology designed to create a high-density carbon construction.
The blank also incorporates X45 technology, which helps control twisting of the rod during casting and aggressive lure movements. By reducing unwanted torsion, the blank can transfer energy more efficiently and maintain a more precise response.
This gives the rod a direct and controlled feel when working the egi, particularly during repeated jerks and changes in retrieve action.
Carbon Monocoque Rear Grip
One of the most notable features of the new Emeraldas MX is the Carbon Monocoque Rear Grip.
The carbon rear grip is designed to improve vibration transmission from the blank to the angler's hand.
In practical terms, this can provide more information about changes in the bottom, current conditions and the behaviour of the egi. This is particularly useful in Eging, where squid often strike during pauses or controlled retrieve phases and subtle changes in lure behaviour can be important.
Air Sensor Reel Seat
The lightweight AIR SENSOR reel seat complements the sensitivity-focused construction of the rod.
Its design helps maintain a direct connection between the angler's hand, reel and blank, contributing to the immediate feel required for technical Eging.
Together, the Air Sensor Seat and Carbon Monocoque Rear Grip focus not only on reducing weight but also on transmitting as much information as possible back to the angler.
Designed to work the egi
A good Eging rod needs to perform throughout the entire presentation, not just during the cast.
The Emeraldas MX is designed to provide controlled action during the jerk, remain predictable during pauses and respond quickly when setting the hook.
The blank construction and X45 technology help maintain precision when the rod is loaded and released rapidly, while the sensitive grip provides greater awareness of what is happening during the retrieve.
The range also offers different actions, allowing anglers to select a configuration according to their preferred fishing style and conditions.
V-JOINT
The V-JOINT ferrule system is designed to provide a more continuous bending curve through the rod's joints.
This helps maintain a more uniform action when the blank is loaded during casting or under pressure during a fight.
Fuji Guides
The rod is equipped with Fuji Alconite guides and a Fuji SIC tip guide.
This configuration is well suited to repeated casting with braided lines, providing smooth line flow and reliable performance during intensive Eging sessions.
MEGA TOP
Models featuring a Solid Tip are additionally equipped with MEGA TOP, designed to improve the strength and reliability of the rod tip section.

The moment of delivery of the material is appropriate before the signature requested by the courier, carefully check that the packaging is intact and that the sealing tape is not tampered with, if you find damage to the packaging, ask to sign with the right of reserve. In case of damaged goods, we invite you to send an email to our address info@fishingshopping.it within 24 hours of receiving the package, with attached photographic documentation relating to the damaged goods, the email must also contain the reference of the order number.
With the opening of the file, we will proceed with the collection of the goods at your address and reimbursement of the expenses incurred or, at your request, with a new shipment of the goods, all at our expense.
