For medium-heavy spinning, a reel needs to handle loaded retrieves while maintaining smooth rotation and effective power transmission. The Daiwa 26 ZX is designed with this purpose in mind, offering a versatile option for different spinning techniques, suitable both for anglers entering this type of fishing and for more experienced fishermen.

The body and rotor are made from high-strength composite material, while the rotation system uses 4 ball bearings to provide smooth operation during the retrieve.

Aluminium spool for spinning

The forged aluminium spool is designed to provide smooth line release. Reduced friction during the cast helps make better use of casting distance while maintaining good accuracy, whether using monofilament or braided line.

This is particularly useful in spinning, where line release can directly affect casting distance and lure control.

Aluminium Screw-In handle

The reel is equipped with a forged aluminium Screw-In handle, which screws directly into the reel body.

This creates a direct connection between the handle and the internal mechanism, contributing to overall rigidity and power transmission during the retrieve. The design also helps minimize handle play, an important feature when dealing with heavier loads.

ARK versions in sizes 5000 and 6000

The 5000 and 6000 sizes are also available in the ARK version, featuring the dedicated ergonomic ARK knob.

The knob provides a more secure and comfortable grip, particularly useful when the reel is under greater load during the retrieve or when fighting larger fish.

Main features

Medium-heavy spinning reel

High-strength composite body and rotor

4 ball bearings

Forged aluminium spool

Aluminium handle

Screw-In handle with direct attachment

Improved rigidity and power transmission

Spool designed for smooth line release

Suitable for monofilament and braided line

5000 and 6000 sizes also available in ARK version

Ergonomic ARK knob for a more secure grip

The new DAIWA 24 LUVIAS LT reel represents a further step forward in the concept of lightness, thanks to the adoption of the most recent technological innovations of the Airdrive design. This reel has undergone a complete redesign of its major components, including rotor (Airdrive Rotor), spool (Airdrive Spool), spindle (Airdrive Shaft) and bail (Airdrive Bail), leading to a significant reduction in overall weight. In the 2500 version, for example, the weight has been reduced from 175 to 150 grams compared to the previous model. The optimization of the design not only translates into greater lightness, but also into better fluidity of use, minimizing the rotation inertia of the rotor. This guarantees a more immediate response to the rotation of the handle, improving precision in spinning fishing techniques, especially during stop-and-go movements. Another innovation of the new Luvias is the ATD-L clutch, an advanced version of the well-known ATD clutch, now softer at the initial stress and capable of progressively hardening to better manage fish recovery. This feature reduces stress on the line, allowing you to use thin leaders with greater safety and comfort. In the 2000 and 2500 S versions, the drag has a max drag of 5 kg, compared to 10 kg of the previous model, for even higher sensitivity in finesse fishing techniques. Technical features: Monocoque body in ZAION - Airdrive rotor in ZAION - MC Tough Digigear gears in Extra Super Duralumin - LongCast ABS spool in forged aluminum - ATD-L clutch (up to size 4000) and ATD Tough clutch with carbon discs (size 5000 ) - Magsealed technology for body protection - Twist Buster III system - 9 bearings - Airdrive type bow and rotor - Infinite anti-reverse system - Cross Wrap spooling system - Machine-cut aluminum handle

The Daiwa 23 Lexa LT front drag reel has an aluminum body and airdrive design! Creating the new Airdrive design concept with a torsion-resistant metal reel body, the 23 Lexa LT reel offers a silky smooth ride and plenty of winding power. The Airdrive concept reduces the weight of the reel and shifts the balance further back, this means more sensitive fishing and better feel when casting are possible. The Airdrive rotor made of Zaion V material starts even with light pressure without high starting resistance and ensures high sensitivity and optimal control of the bait, even with light baits. The metal body of the reel ensures torsion-free storage of the equipment and long-lasting smooth operation. The Tough Digigear drive is extremely robust and precise and ensures optimal power transmission even under high loads. The newly developed Airdrive construction offers reliable protection against tangles, ideal when fishing in strong winds. The extra light Airdrive spool ensures low weight and the special ejection edge for long casting distances. The Magsealed construction on the shaft offers protection against the penetration of water and dirt particles and ensures a longer life, especially when used in salt water.

Airdrive design

Aluminium reel body

Zaion V Airdrive Rotor

Strong Digigear gears

L-type ATD braking system

Long cast ABS Airdrive coil

Twist Buster III thread guide roller

Machined aluminum handle
