The new DAIWA 24 LUVIAS LT reel represents a further step forward in the concept of lightness, thanks to the adoption of the most recent technological innovations of the Airdrive design. This reel has undergone a complete redesign of its major components, including rotor (Airdrive Rotor), spool (Airdrive Spool), spindle (Airdrive Shaft) and bail (Airdrive Bail), leading to a significant reduction in overall weight. In the 2500 version, for example, the weight has been reduced from 175 to 150 grams compared to the previous model. The optimization of the design not only translates into greater lightness, but also into better fluidity of use, minimizing the rotation inertia of the rotor. This guarantees a more immediate response to the rotation of the handle, improving precision in spinning fishing techniques, especially during stop-and-go movements. Another innovation of the new Luvias is the ATD-L clutch, an advanced version of the well-known ATD clutch, now softer at the initial stress and capable of progressively hardening to better manage fish recovery. This feature reduces stress on the line, allowing you to use thin leaders with greater safety and comfort. In the 2000 and 2500 S versions, the drag has a max drag of 5 kg, compared to 10 kg of the previous model, for even higher sensitivity in finesse fishing techniques. The new Emblem in the Surfcasting version confirms the winning formula of the previous model, further improving it both in terms of build quality and look. Both body and rotor were built in the innovative ZAION V material: a carbon-based composite material, lighter and more resistant than traditional materials and totally free from corrosion. The weight of the new Emblem is in fact reduced by 25 grams compared to the previous generation. This new version has been made lighter and more responsive than the previous model, with a weight reduction of 15 grams. This improvement was possible thanks to the use of innovative materials and a redesigned design that increases handling.
